Alexandra was born in Greece. In 1972 her family migrated to Australia where she started cultivating her passion for figurative arts.
After graduating in Graphic Design, she started working in a photographic studio where she acquired the knowledge of black and white printing for exhibition quality photographs. In 1989 she started working as banknote designer for the Reserve Bank of Australia. That gave her the opportunity to work on many different bank notes apart from the Australian Polymer series, for the next 12 years. In 2001 she moved back to Greece, where she ran her own gallery for a few years. Being utterly familiar with modern technologies, photography and painting, Alexandra is now experimenting with new creative processes, involving a significant use of digital tools that are helping her focus on her unique techniques.
